Fabric Covered Hangers

To make these I used three wooden hangers, Mod Podge, fabric, craft paint and masking tape.

I picked out the fabric from my scrap pile. Still trying to use more of that up before cutting in to the fresh new fabric! I cut the scrap pieces to just a bit bigger size than the hanger. IMG_5864

I covered the front and back with masking tape. This will be the where I place the fabric once I paint the sides of the hanger. This one will be pink!IMG_5865

I decided to paint the hangers in spring colors. Pink, green, and teal. I am still waiting for that season called spring!

I waited a bit for the paint to dry before taking off the tape. Any paint that had smudged onto the fabric side I wiped off with a damp paper towel.

I used a sponge brush to brush the Mod Podge on the wooden hanger.  IMG_5878

With the fabric on the hanger, as straight and smooth as you can make it add a layer of Mod Podge to the top of the fabric. Set aside and let dry. Repeat with the rest of the hangers.

Once dry trim the fabric down to hanger size. Add any more Mod Podge to the fabric to keep the fabric from fraying.

Now sit back and enjoy your cute hangers. I used mine to hang fabric. 🙂
